“G.I” Bill Simmons is one of San Antonio’s highest-rated Criminal Defense, Personal Injury and Family Law Attorneys. Raised in San Antonio, “G.I” Bill Simmons attended public schools, and graduated from Tom C. Clark High School , in Northwest San Antonio. Growing up, he had a paper route, mowed lawns, and worked at Ingram Park Mall.
Bill proudly served in the 101st Airborne Division (“Screaming Eagles”) of the United States Army specializing in ammunitions and is a combat veteran of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. After being honorably discharged “G.I” Bill Simmons obtained his A.A. from San Antonio College before graduating with “Cum Laude” honors from The University of Colorado at Denver (UCD), where he majored in Communications (‘07 B.A.), and double-minored in Political Science and Public Relations. While at UCD, Bill was twice elected Student Body President and was inducted into the Lambda Pi Eta honor society.
Bill obtained his Juris Doctorate Degree J.D. from the Thurgood Marshal School of Law at Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas. He also studied abroad at the City College of London where he focused on European Union law.
Upon graduation, Bill paid his tithes, put a sign in the ground, and opened his own practice straight out of law school. Never forgetting where he came from, “G.I.” Bill Simmons always passionately represents every client in a mission-oriented way focused on positive results for those he serves.
Outside of the courtroom, “G.I.” Bill Simmons supports Fiesta Wishes , Texas Public Radio, the San Antonio Report, and is a member of the (VFW) Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Veteran’s Advocacy and Benefits Association, Texas Criminal Lawyers Association, San Antonio Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the State Bar of Texas Family Law Section.
