Susan L. Albertoni is a native Californian, born and raised in Oakdale. Susan practices in the areas of family law, criminal law, civil litigation.
Susan’s work in family law has included cases involving complex custody, visitation and support issues, as well as multi-million dollar marital estates with multiple complicated property issues. Susan was the prevailing appellate attorney in the published case of State of Oregon v. Vargas , 70 Cal. App. TH 1123, a landmark case involving child support.
Susan’s criminal defense practice has included misdemeanor cases and cases involving special circumstance murder, murder, attempted murder, assaults, drug cases, and other violent and serious felonies affected under the Three Strikes Law. Susan’s trial experience gives you the advantage. Her civil litigation work has also involved a variety of legal issues ranging from environmental contamination, property claims, collections and personal injury.
Susan is a member of California Attorneys for Criminal Justice (CACJ).
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Susan is very involved in the Merced community. She is a member of the Merced Elks Lodge 1240, Kiwanis of Greater Merced, local Bar Associations and President of the Mariposa Bar Association. She is a member of the Stanislaus County Swiss Club and Eastern Star Escalon Chapter. Susan has also had involvement with Kiwanis of Greater Merced. Susan has also had involvement as treasurer of the Merced Symphony Association, the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club Board of Merced and various fundraising events for other unrelated non-profits. Susan believes in giving back to the community that has supported her practice.
Education
Susan received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of San Francisco. She received her Juris Doctorate from San Joaquin College of Law.
