Capitalized terms which are not defined herein shall have the meaning ascribed to them in our Terms of Use.

Crime Law respects the privacy of our visitors and users (“you”). This Privacy Policy explains how Crime Law and its affiliated companies and subsidiaries worldwide (“we,” “us” or “our”) collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit Crime Law websites, web applications, mobile applications,  and related services (collectively, the “Site” or “Services”). If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the Site. This Privacy Policy is not intended to override the terms of any contract you have with us, nor any rights you might have under applicable data privacy laws. Read this policy and make sure you fully understand our practices in relation to your personal information before you access or use any of our Services. If you read and fully understand this Privacy Policy, and remain opposed to our practices, you must immediately leave the Site and avoid or discontinue all use of any of our Services.

COLLECTION OF YOUR INFORMATION

Personal Information

We may collect information that may identify an individual or may with reasonable efforts cause the identification of an individual, or may be of private or sensitive nature (“Personal Information”). The Personal Information collected by us mainly consists of contact details, billing details (which are only collected from Users with Paid Services), details regarding a browsing or usage session (IP address, Geo-location and/or device unique identifier), details regarding connected third party accounts, scanned identification documents provided to us, correspondences, and any other Personal Information provided to us by Visitors or Users through their access to or use of the Services. Any Non-personal Information that is connected to Personal Information is deemed and treated by us as Personal Information, as long as such connection exists.

Non-Personal Information

We may collect information pertaining to a Visitor or un-identified User, which may be made available to us, or collected automatically via his/her use of the Services (“Non-personal Information”). Such Non-personal Information does not enable us to identify the Visitor or User from whom it was collected. The Non-personal Information collected by us mainly consists of technical and aggregated usage information, such as Visitors’ and Users’ browsing and ‘click-stream’ activity on the Services.

Other Information

We may collect Personal Information and Non-personal Information pertaining to visitors and users of our User’s websites or services (“Users-of-Users”), solely for and on our Users’ behalf.

We may collect information that is provided to us by our job candidates (“Applicants”), when they apply to any open positions.

How we Collect Information

When you visit, download, or use our Services, including when you browse the Website or any User Website, register a User Account, edit your User Website and upload information and content, we are aware of it and will usually gather, collect and record such uses, sessions and related information, either independently or with the help of third-party services. We also collect information from third party sources, and information which you provide to us voluntarily.

USE OF YOUR INFORMATION

We collect Personal Information and Non-personal for the following purposes: (1) to provide, operate, develop, customize, and improve our Services; (2) to provide our Users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support; (3) to be able to contact our Visitors and Users with general or personalized service-related notices and promotional messages; (4) to facilitate, sponsor and offer contests, events and promotions, determine participants’ eligibility, monitor performance, contact winners and grant prizes and benefits; (5) to create aggregated statistical data and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which we or our business partners may use to provide and improve our respective services; (6) to enhance our data security and fraud prevention capabilities; (7) to consider Applicants’ candidacy for working at Crime Law ; and (8) to comply with any applicable laws and regulations.

We will only use your Personal Information when we are satisfied that our use of it is necessary: (1) to perform a contract or take steps to enter into a contract with you; (2) to comply with a relevant legal or regulatory obligation we have; or (3) to support legitimate interests we have as a business, provided it is conducted at all times in a way that is proportionate, and that respects your privacy rights.​

STORAGE OF YOUR INFORMATION

Visitors’, Users’ and Users-of-Users’ Personal Information may be maintained, processed and stored by us and our authorized affiliates and service providers in the United States of America, in Europe, and in other jurisdictions as necessary for the proper delivery of our Services and/or as may be required by law. Crime Law is based in the United States of America. Our affiliates and service and storage data providers that store or process your Personal Information on our behalf are each contractually committed to keep it protected and secured, in accordance with industry standards and regardless of any lesser legal requirements which may apply in their jurisdiction.

Applicants’ information will be maintained, processed and stored on our servers, and as necessary, in secured cloud storage provided by our Third Party Services.

Upon request, we will provide you with information about whether we hold any of your Personal Information. You may access, correct, or request deletion of your Personal Information by contacting us. Permanently deleting your Site account erases all of your information from our databases. After deleting your account, you can no longer use any of your Services. We will not be able to restore your account or retrieve your data in the future. If you contact us in the future, the system will not recognize your account and Support agents will not be able to locate the deleted account.

USERS-OF-USERS’ INFORMATION

We may collect, store and process Personal and Non-personal Information of Users-of-Users (“Users-of-Users Information”), solely on our Users’ behalf and at their direction. For such purposes, we serve and shall be considered as a “Processor” and not as the “Controller” of such Users-of-Users Information. The Users controlling and operating such User Websites shall be considered as the “Controllers” of such Users-of-Users Information, and are responsible for complying with all laws and regulations that may apply to the collection and control of such Users-of-Users Information. We recommend that all Users publish and maintain clear and comprehensive privacy policies on their User Websites, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, and that all Users-of-Users carefully read those policies and make sure they consent to them.

You are responsible for the security, integrity and authorized usage of your Users-of-Users’ Personal Information, for obtaining consents and permissions, and for providing any fair processing notices required for the collection and usage of such information.

If you are a visitor, user or customer of any of our Users, please read the following: Crime Law has no direct relationship with the individual Users-of-Users whose Personal Information it processes. If you are a visitor, user or customer of any of our Users, and would like to make any requests or queries regarding your Personal Information, please contact such User(s) directly. If requested to remove any Users-of-Users’ Personal Information, we will respond to such requests within thirty (30) days.

JOB APPLICATIONS

We understand that privacy and discreteness are crucial to our Applicants, and are committed to keep Applicants’ Information private and use it solely for our internal recruitment purposes. We may retain Applicants’ Information submitted to us for no longer than two years after the applied position has been filled or closed. This is done so we can re-consider Applicants for other positions and opportunities at Crime Law ; so we can use their Applicants’ Information as reference for future applications submitted by them; and if the Applicant is hired, for additional employment and business purposes related to his/her work at Crime Law . If you previously submitted your Applicants’ Information to us, and now wish to access it, update it or have it deleted from our systems, please contact us.

DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION

By Law or to Protect Rights

If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of Crime Law or others, we may share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation.

Third Party Services

We may share your information with third parties that perform services for us or on our behalf, including payment processing, data analysis, email delivery, hosting services, customer service, and marketing assistance.

Social Media Features and Framed Pages

Our Services include Social Media features and widgets,  single sign on features, the “Facebook Like” button, the “Share this” button and other interactive mini-programs (“Social Media Features”). These Social Media Features may collect information such as your IP address or which page you are visiting on our Website, and may set a cookie to enable them to function properly. Social Media Features are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Site. Your interactions with these third parties’ Social Media Features are governed by their policies and not ours. Our Services may enable you to share your Personal Information with third parties directly, such as via page framing techniques to serve content to or from Third Party Services or other parties, while preserving the look and feel of our Website and Services (“Frames”). If you choose to interact or share any Personal Information via such Frames, you are providing it to these third parties and not to us, and such interactions are governed by such third parties’ policies and not ours.

Affiliates and Subsidiaries

We may share Personal Information with our affiliates and subsidiaries, in which case we will require those affiliates and subsidiaries to honor this Privacy Policy.  If we reorganize or sell all or a portion of our assets, undergo a merger, or are acquired by another entity, we may transfer your information to the successor entity. If we go out of business or enter bankruptcy, your information would be an asset transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur and that the transferee may decline to honor commitments we made in this Privacy Policy.

We may share your Personal Information in manners other than as described above, pursuant to your explicit approval, or if we are legally obligated to do so. We may transfer, share, disclose or otherwise use Non-personal Information in our sole discretion and without the need for further approval.

TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

We, together with our marketing, analytics and technology partners, use monitoring and tracking technologies (such as cookies, beacons, pixels, tags and scripts) to maintain, provide and improve our Services on an ongoing basis. Third Party Services utilizing tracking technologies through our Services may have their own policies regarding how they collect and store information. Such practices are not covered by our Privacy Policy and we do not have any control over them. Please note that we do not change our practices in response to a “Do Not Track” signal in the HTTP header from a browser or mobile application.

We may use your Personal Information to send you promotional content from us or our partners acting our behalf. If you no longer wish to receive correspondence, emails, or other communications from us, you may opt-out by notifying us at any time or by following the “unsubscribe” or STOP instructions contained in the promotional communications you receive. We may contact you with important information regarding our Services, or your use thereof. You are not able to opt-out of receiving service and billing-related messages and content unless you are no longer a Crime Law Visitor or User.

We take certain steps to enable you to access, receive a copy of, update, amend, delete, or limit the use of your Personal Information. Before disclosing the requested Personal Information, we may ask you for additional information in order to confirm your identity and for security purposes. We reserve the right to charge a fee where permitted by law.​

While we recommend you contact us first, you have the right to file a complaint with your local supervisory authority for data protection.

DATA RETENTION

We may retain your Personal Information (as well as your Users-of-Users’ Information) for as long as your User Account is active, as indicated in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise needed to provide you with our Services. We may continue to retain such Personal Information even after you deactivate your User Account or cease to use any particular Services, as reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes regarding our Users or their Users-of-Users, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce agreements, or protect our legitimate interests. Where your Personal Information is no longer required, we will ensure it is securely deleted.

SECURITY

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse. Any information disclosed online is vulnerable to interception and misuse by unauthorized parties. Therefore, we cannot guarantee complete security if you provide personal information.

USER CONTENT

Our Services offer publicly accessible blogs, communities and support forums. Please be aware that any information you provide in any such areas may be read, collected, and used by others who access them. To request removal of your Personal Information from our blogs, communities or forums, feel free to contact us. In some cases, we may not be able to remove your Personal Information from such areas. We advise against posting any information you don’t wish to publicize on these platforms.

If you upload any User Content to your User Account or post it on your User Website and provide it in any other way as part of the use of any Service, you do so at your own risk.

We cannot control the actions of other Users or members of the public who may access your User Content. We are not responsible for the circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures you or we may have placed on your User Website. You understand and acknowledge that, even after its removal by you or us, copies of User Content may remain viewable in cached and archived pages.
