Scott is a life-long resident of Augusta. He graduated from Curtis Baptist High School in 1988, and later graduated Augusta College. He received his Juris Doctor from Mercer University School of Law in 1997. Scott has been practicing law in the Augusta area for over 20 years. He was an Assistant District Attorney for the Augusta Judicial Circuit for 5 years before entering private practice forming the forming the Connell Law Firm. He has practiced criminal defense and domestic relations law in the firm since 2003. The last six years he has practiced with his wife, Kristi.
Scott is a member of the Augusta Bar and the State Bar of Georgia. He has litigated significant felony cases primarily in the Augusta Judicial Circuit for over 20 years, and practices in both State and Federal Court. Scott attends Trinity on the Hill UMC with his wife of twenty years, Kristi, and their three teenage sons. He is a huge football fan, a Heads-Up certified football coach, an assistant coach for the EDS Panther Middle School football team and has been announcing for Pop Warner, middle school and high school football programs in the area for a number of years. He is currently the announcer for the Augusta Preparatory Day School High School Football program.
