Education
Bruce became committed to criminal defense while earning his law degree, cum laude, at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1992. While there, he participated in the school’s Criminal Law Clinic and its Intensive Trial Advocacy Program.
Bruce’s academic performance earned him staff and editorial positions with the Cardozo Law Review.
Bruce received his bachelor of arts degree from Vassar College in 1985.
Experience
Bruce began his career as a criminal defense attorney with the Nassau County Legal Aid Society in 1992.
He entered private practice in 1995, as a partner at Cromwell & Yerman, Attorneys at Law in Mineola.
In 2003, Bruce opened Bruce Yerman, Attorney at Law in Manhattan, where he continues practicing criminal defense.
