I concentrate on removal defense, appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals, immigration related criminal defense, family immigration, adjustment of status, domestic and overseas immigrant waivers, domestic and overseas nonimmigrant waivers, asylum and related forms of relief (witholding of removal, deferral of removal, relief under the U.N. Convention Against Torture, and other international conventions), VAWA benefits, U nonimigrant status, administrative appeals to the AAO (Administrative Appeals Office) criminal immigration issues in consultation with criminal defense attorneys, criminal removal, detention issues, advocacy for prosecutorial discretion, and other matters before ICE(Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and CBP (Customs and Border Protection).
I can conduct consultations in person, by phone, by email/chat, or via skype.
I can conduct client preparation and interviews in Spanish.
In addition to being licensed in NY, I am admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of NY and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
Unlike many other immigration attorneys, I do not delegate any work to anyone.
If you call my office, I will answer the phone. I will be the one responding to your emails and calling you back.
If anyone does work for you, from filling out a form to assembling your documents, it will be me. My rates may be higher than some other immigration attorneys, but the time I devote to my clients is of greater quality and quantity than of high volume caseload firms.
As a member of AILA and a consistent participant in its online community, I can draw on the collective experience of thousands of other immigration attorneys as well as sharing my perspectives with my colleagues.
I am not in the business of providing my clients with sugar coated promises of favorable outcomes and assurances that there is nothing to be worried about. I let my clients know exactly where they stand and possible outcomes.
I spend much of my time listening to my clients. Aside from knowing the law, an attorney needs to know exactly what is going on with his/her clients. And that’s what I do.
