David Luker has practiced criminal defense in Alabama and around the Southeast since 1983. He is a senior member of the firm of David S. Luker, PC & Associates in Birmingham, AL. His practice concentrates on criminal defense, with a special emphasis on drug offenses, white-collar crimes, capital murder, murder cases, and other serious criminal offenses. During his 35+ years of practice, he has handled thousands of criminal cases including complex white-collar and drug cases in both State and Federal Courts, and numerous capital murder cases and trials throughout the State of Alabama, and across the Southeast. He has successfully defended the capital defendants with not only not-guilty verdicts but also reduced verdicts. The use of experts and mitigation has been an ever-evolving specialty in capital cases, and those tools have helped result in no death penalty sentences so far.
