Maggie George – Royal Oak Criminal Lawyer

Maggie George joined George Law in 2018 after years of experience in both the public and private sectors. Upon graduating from James Madison College at Michigan State University, Maggie took what she thought would be a year off between college and law school, and moved to Washington, DC to work for the legislative branch of the government.

Upon moving back to Michigan, Maggie joined Fortune500 Company Quicken Loans in which she served as Director of Training, leading teams in Michigan, Ohio and Arizona. Maggie spent over thirteen years with the company until she decided to revisit her love for the practice of law.

After starting a family, Maggie began to contemplate a career change and revisited the idea of pursuing law—something for which she had never lost her passion. With a toddler to care for, a talented and busy lawyer-husband to support, and a new law firm to build, Maggie added law school to her plate. She found that she loved learning the law and chose to concentrate her learnings in the particular field of criminal law and defamation. While in law school at Wayne State University, Maggie also clerked for Chief Judge Denise Paige Hood in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Maggie’s approach to the practice of law includes making sure the good in her clients comes through in any legal battle they are facing. She makes sure her clients are seen, heard, and believed. Maggie prides herself on the fight she puts up in each of her cases and advocating for her clients. She is passionate about defending people’s reputations and livelihoods, as well as their due process rights.
